Sports Nutrition: Eat Right for Active Lifestyle

Julie Burns, MS, RD, CCN was interviewed by the Las Vegas Review Journal this past week. One disclaimer is the section about the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports recommendations for protein, carbohydrates, and fat percentages. Our SportFuel philosophy is one that encourages heathly fats and a moderate amount of carbohydrates. We believe the low fat diet (in conjunction with the type of fats people consume) along with high carbohyrates does not promote ideal body composition for most athletes. Each person has their own right combination of the type and amounts of protein, fat, and carbohydrates that work best. Eat Like the Pros meals are infused with this philosophy and we offer customized ordering guidelines to meet people's needs.In addition, SportFuel customized nutrition programs are designed with the individual in mind!
